Google Dan Gaub before you buy this book.

Breakouts are really good, if take in the correct context. This book does not explain the context in which to take breakouts. And, without the correct context, breakout is the most dangerous strategy to trade any financial instrument.
But what really bothers me is that, in the Introduction, the author mentions Dan Gaub as he source of inspiration and he even encourages us to google about Dan Gaub.
When I did that, the first result was "Dan Gaub Forex scam".
The author says that Dan transformed US$2,000 in US$1.000.000,00 multiple times and that he was a good Christian... if you read through the google results, you can imagine that it was not through trading forex breakouts that Dan made his money...

Will definitely backtest this weekend

Straightforward explanation of the technique. Agree w/the formatting issue & dark chart background-choice issue already mentioned, so I'm looking forward to the training video link to follow.
My only criticism is that I have found, from my admittedly more limited Forex trading experience, that I see more retracements of breakouts back to touch or nearly touch the line much more often than are proportionally used in Corey's chosen chart examples. A minor thing that good Stops & Risk Mngmt-based lot sizes are meant to account for if you enter on the initial breakout, assuming it won't retrace a significant amount.
Overall, I do recommend this book as part of a beginner & intermediate Forex trader's instructional library.

Strategy Has Potential ...

A short and sweet introduction to a break out strategy. As some have stated, there is much more to FOREX trading than what is in the book so I don't recommend it for new traders (basic knowledge is assumed).
Don't trade real money with this or ANY strategy until you've thoroughly tested it in a demo account: if it doesn't work for you there it certainly won't work when emotions come into play.
