Searching for Father

One of the most outstanding testimonies to the grace of God and the transformative power of the Christian gospel I have ever read! I know Mike and Michele Casey personally but didn't know the whole back story that led to their thriving ministry that continues to save lives today by the power of God. The true and uncensored story kept me gripped to my reading chair as it was hard to put down! I enjoyed the low-key and "straight from the heart" style. Mike is able to share the events of his life as well as his inner thoughts and feelings in a way that he "keeps it real" (and raw!). Knowing Mike now as a minister and pastor makes it hard to imagine he went through such family dysfunction and trauma. This story should be made into a movie! A must read for those seeking the Father-heart of God who may not have experienced a "normal" relationship with their earthly father. It shows how God has made Mike Casey the spiritual father he is today to many, despite his horrific family background and apparently hopeless chemical addiction.

Protect Every Little Kid after Reading this Book!

Well-written and scary, this biography will shake anyone's idea of what a good childhood is! I didn't mean to read it, but it draws you in, and I couldn't put it down. Mike has an amazing ability to recall facts and pour out remembrances. I want to protect every little kid after reading this traumatic story. I don't understand the title. The strain on the author is stressful, but his life-changes are so frequent, he can never become comfortably numb. I am still reading but I wanted to say WOW. This is a great book.
