About the Author
William Barclay (1907-1978) nacio en Wick (Escocia) en una familia de larga tradicion evangelica. Estudio en la Universidad y en el Trinity College de Glasgow, que completo con un semestre en la Universidad alemana de Marburgo. En 1933 fue ordenado al ministerio de la Iglesia de Escocia. Su primer y unico pastorado fue en Trinity Church de Renfrew, donde permaneceria casi catorce anos (1933-47). Very Valuable

Barclay is a profoundly readable and profound theologian who has contributed deeply to the study of this wonderful Gospel. His students are quickly disappearing due to old age, but they speak most highly of him while studying in Glasgow. It is a great help to have Volume 2 in my faith library.

This is the book of the new testament that tells what Jesus said and what the meant by the man that was the beloved of His apostles. A study for today.

The material by Barclay was excellent. However

The material by Barclay was excellent. However, I was not careful in specifying the "revised" updated addition of 2001 which I had received from Amazon several years ago for Vol. 1. This edition I received was "revised" and published in 1975. The 26 years difference would have likely added another star.
